WHAT
Charity Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament
offering an exciting prize list that includes
seats to the 2012 World Series of Poker
[WSOP], WSOP bracelet and more than
$100,000 in other exciting prizes.
WHY
To benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association's ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) research
program. The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is the world leader among
voluntary agencies in fighting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). MDA's ALS Division
offers the most comprehensive range of services of any voluntary health agency in the
nation and leads the search for a treatment or cure through its aggressive, worldwide
research program. In 2011, MDA will provide more than $141 million in research, family
services and helpful information to adults and children affected by muscular dystrophy
and related diseases. In the last five years, MDA has invested more than $12.4 million in
research funding in Texas. At the start of 2011, MDA's ALS research portfolio included 69
active research grants, the total sum of which equaled $19.7 million. MDA is committed
to leading the fight against ALS.
SHOW TIME
Registration begins at 10 a.m.
Lunch served beginning at 11 a.m.
Tournament starts promptly at Noon.
